Calculate the amount of hard drive space, and time,
necessary to digitally archive your paper documents.
The Document Storage Calculator is meant to answer the question usually asked by customers during the sales phase of implementing a document management system i.e., “How much disk space will it take to digitally store all my paper documents?”
From the drop-down menu select the type of paper storage container used e.g., four drawer file cabinet, enter the number of containers, and then enter an estimate of the file size of a single page (50 Kb is generally a good average to use). Click “Calculate” to see an estimate of the disk space required.
In the “Time to Scan” section enter the pages per minute speed of your scanner and click “Calculate” to see an estimate of the time needed to scan the documents (this estimate does not include document preparation time e.g., straightening bent corners, removing staples, etc.)
